Victorian Architrave

You can use wooden Victorian architrave around doors, windows or any other suitable opening in your period home.  We have a range of architrave moulding profiles available both in hard and softwood.  Traditional hardwood architraves are suitable for exterior use.

How to use Architraves

You will need to use a door liner inside your door opening (contact us with your dimensions for a quote) before fixing period architraves in place. Your two side, and one top piece of architrave need to be cut at a 45-degree angle to fit together.

To calculate the correct amount of door architrave required, measure your door height and width. Then, add on around 20cm to each height measurement and 40cm to the top measurement to determine your lengths required. This gives you enough architrave to cut the 45-degree join. For a window, add 40cm to each measurement.  The lengths can then be trimmed down to size on site.
