Youth Theatre - Dance and Act Community for Youth
"YOUtheatre" project is located at an old church at the community area in Byker- Newcastle upon Tyne-UK. The old building challenges the project to build in a new and youthful structure which blended well with the church-structure and facade. This project aims for youth to express themselves to others through performing arts, thus, it was designed with many flexible spaces for youth to communicate with each other and other generations. The whole building provides a meaningful place to tighten youth to their community. The old church stands out among new residential houses, which also acts as an iconic image which remind young people about old values.
