This Loose Socket in Black is a traditional cast iron–style fitting designed to securely join two sections of downpipe. It is available in a choice of four widths, making it suitable for a wide range of guttering installations on period homes, heritage buildings and restoration projects.

You can choose between Spigot Eared and Spigot Plain versions:

• Spigot Eared – includes two small “ears” or lugs with fixing holes. These allow the socket to be mechanically fixed to the wall, providing extra stability and preventing the downpipe from twisting or pulling away from the building. This is especially useful on taller runs of pipe or exposed elevations.
• Spigot Plain – a clean, ear‑less version used where a minimal appearance is preferred or where the socket does not need to be fixed directly to the wall.
