Product Details
A leaf-tipped cross with a square centre
Design 5 combines four diagonal leafy arms around a small square centre. Each arm ends in a pointed leaf, flanked by curved lobes. Deep rounded recesses between the arms give the motif a balanced, open appearance.
The photograph shows buff-coloured decoration against a red background. This illustrates one colour combination.
A compact ornamental inset
Use Design 5 as an individual accent among plain geometric tiles, or repeat it at intervals to introduce a regular pattern of leafy crosses.
The complete motif fits on one tile, so it can stand alone without joining neighbouring decoration. Its diagonal arrangement provides a contrast to the straight joints of a square-tiled floor.
Confirm the tile’s exact dimensions and thickness before planning inset openings or selecting surrounding pieces.
Genuine ceramic encaustic construction
Contrasting coloured clays form the decoration, which extends below the surface of the ceramic tile. This is genuine encaustic construction rather than a printed encaustic-effect finish.
Colour options and restoration
Alternative colour combinations are available by enquiry. The traditional palette includes red, buff, black, white and oatmeal. Please contact us to discuss colours for your chosen design or to coordinate with an existing floor.
For period property restoration, compare the square centre, curved sides and pointed corner leaves with the original tile.
