Interlacing curves and pointed leaf motifs
Design 7 centres on a small circle surrounded by four stylised leaf ornaments pointing outwards. Broad curved bands sweep around this centre, creating overlapping, lens-shaped spaces across the tile.
Partial decorative motifs occupy the corners, adding another layer of detail where adjoining tiles meet. The photograph shows buff-coloured decoration against a reddish-brown background, illustrating one colour combination.
A pattern to explore across several tiles
Place several tiles together to see how the curves and corner ornaments interact across the floor. Repeating the design creates a flowing arrangement of curved bands, punctuated by the smaller central motifs.
