Product Details
A quarter-circle band of scrolling foliage
Design 24 features two broad curved lines enclosing a sequence of curling stems and lobed leaves. Small decorative accents punctuate the scrollwork, adding detail within the band.
Outside the curve, a branching leafy ornament fills one corner. Inside it, a smaller floral spray forms part of the decoration towards the opposite corner. The photograph shows buff-coloured ornament against a reddish-brown background.
Exploring a grouped medallion layout
The quarter-circle composition suggests a four-tile arrangement, with each tile rotated to bring the curved bands together into a larger circular feature.
Dry-lay the group before fixing to confirm how the scrollwork and inner decoration align. A manufacturer’s layout drawing has not been verified, so the complete repeat should be checked before ordering for a specific scheme.
A grouped panel can provide a focal point within a plain geometric floor. Compare the dimensions, thickness and colours of surrounding tiles and borders before finalising the layout.
Genuine ceramic encaustic construction
Contrasting coloured clays form the decoration, which extends below the ceramic surface. This is genuine encaustic construction rather than a printed encaustic-effect finish.
Colour options and restoration
Alternative colour combinations are available by enquiry. The traditional palette includes red, buff, black, white and oatmeal. Please contact us to discuss colours for your chosen design or to coordinate with an existing floor.
For period property restoration, compare the curved band, scrolling leaves and inner floral detail with the original tiles. The photograph illustrates one colour combination.
