This is a fabric that unmistakably harks back to classic tuiliere with delicate roses cascading up the fabric with the grace of a late eighteenth century French design, while the modernity is found in the gentle three dimensionality of the pattern. As this is a cut pile velvet with a natural linen ground and due to the weaving process there may be occasional variations in the depth of the pile of the velvet. 2) The linen ground may contain natural slubs and irregularities which are a normal part of the characteristics of this fibre. This is not a defect.
