Product Details
c.1870 The origins of this pattern can be seen on a gown in the painting "The Presentation in the Temple" (1485) by Michael Pacher. Bodley adapted this elegant design and used it frequently in many of his commissions including in the Blue Drawing Room at Powys Castle as curtains and upholstery. The Memlinc is typical of a large repeating pattern designed for upholstery: the oval is perfectly suited in scale to compliment the back of a chair.
